Our winery is located in the area of Chianti Colli Fiorentini. Stony, well exposed to the west/south-west, these lands have a definitely alkaline nature and a varying composition, with significant limestone levels, mixed with marl, sand, and loose clay. The average slope is considerable, almost 17%, with much higher peaks. Temperatures vary significantly from day to night in the summer and autumn, and there is a high incidence of strong air drifts.
5 hectares of vineyards: Sangiovese grapes account for about 70% of the surface, while the rest is left to other varieties, including Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, Merlot or Petit Verdot. Grapes are rigorously hand-picked. Our production is based on organic principles and our winemaking approach is always focused on utmost respect for the natural properties of wines, never using selected yeasts and with a minimal addition of sulphur dioxide.
